Unabashed "redneck heaven," according to supergroup Alabama, who got its
start at this iconic Myrtle Beach bar in the mid 1970s playing six nights a
week for tips. Opened in 1944, this is the oldest continually operating beer
joint in town, and it’s so much fun that locals go to drink the cold draft beer
and listen to the live country music of The Bounty Hunters year round. Open
daily from 11 a.m. – 4 a.m.(in season), The Bowery is in the heart of Myrtle
